The moment Harper seized office in 2006 he tore up the Kelowna - TopicsExpress

The moment Harper seized office in 2006 he tore up the Kelowna Accord. The Accord was the result of seven years of mindful negotiations and sought to improve the education, employment, and living conditions for Aboriginal peoples. Our First Nations people are, simply put, an inconvenience to mining and oil companies. There is a well-funded and organized campaign underway to vilify them and turn Canadians against them. You will see and read perspectives designed to get you angry, designed to make you think they are ungrateful freeloaders, that their peaceful protests are nothing but violent and angry. Do not allow this vilification to succeed. A sea of humanity needs to rise up and refuse to allow our environment to be ransacked and basic human rights to be trampled. This is not an Aboriginal issue. This is a Canadian issue. This is a human issue. Raise your voice.
