The moment you realize that your mind sometimes is incapable of balancing two languages. I just asked dad how to spell chauffeur (Which I now see we still spelled wrong, props to us) and all I could say was chófer which is the same word in Spanish. Dad looked at me and said huh I repeated myself and giggled once I realized I had totally forgotten how the word is said in English, and he asked show fair? and I laughed knowing I had no clue how to describe the word other than acting out someone driving a car and telling him it was like a taxi driver but not. He then gave me the word chauffeur and then laughed at me because I said yeah chófer thats it! and he said no, chauffeur! jajajaj I try to explain to people the reality of being bilingual and people dont always get it but it never leaves me with a dull day thats for sure!
