The month of December is one, we as Christians, reflect on the birth of Christ. We dont know the exact date of our Saviors birth, but we do know He was born in a manger. What a wonderful Savior. I dont have the words to describe Him, but I can praise Him with the Highest Praise - Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus for memories and for December 25th. Thank you for December 15 (the day my beautiful parents gave birth to me). In this profile picture, Mama was about 4 months pregnant...with me!! Daddy was one cool cat wasnt he? December 18, I married Frank Stokes on my great grandmother Esther Grangers birthday. December 19, my grandparents, James Johnson and Lucille Massey Johnson, gave birth to our dad - Luther James Johnson. On this same day (in a different year), my grandmother, Helen Fuller, gave birth to my Aunt Dorothy Ferguson. Those two were a trip when they got together!! On this day, December 22, Jesus visited the home of one of my best friends - my cousin, brother, and spiritual father, Pastor Elijah Ray. Jesus took home with Him, Pastor and first lady Vanessa Rays son Tobi. Christmas Day is and always will be special to my family. My parents were married in 1959, Christmas Day. My grandma Helen rested in the arms of Christ on Christmas Day. In 2004, Christmas Day, we opened beautifully wrapped presents from my sister Marlene Johnson-Ballenger- she died 7 months earlier. December is a month of deep reflections. And while the above accounts seem sad, Im grateful for Gods grace and mercy as I believe I will see all my loved ones in glory one day very soon. Thank you Jesus for family and friends. Amen.
