The month of June is always a happy celebration to me. I never kept anything from my grandmother, as she was always my main cheerleader, supporter and my name for her was perfectly made for her GRANDMAMA. One day she asked me she said to Chris, what is that new business coming into town? I never said a word, as though I was not paying attention to her. As time went by from January through the end May of 2002 I said to her one night, I want you to ride with me somewhere. She still had no clue to where I was taking her. She asked the question if she needed to dress up? I said to her, oh no you are dressed she fine. We get in the car and drive towards the building, where I am located today. I still had the newspaper on the windows where no one could see in the building. Well, we are in front of the building and grandmama looks at me and says: I have been asking you for months who was opening a new business? I looked at her and said grandmama, welcome to Chris Styling Studio. I cried and she shouted, cried and she said I knew one day you would have a Salon, I am so proud of you. I first thank God for allowing me to be in business in my hometown and second I am so thankful to have had a awesome grandmama that encouraged me to keep the faith. Customers will come and customers will go, but this one thing I do know when you do what is right everything will workout. Everyday I know she is smiling down from heaven. I am still in business and everyday I am grateful. Happy Anniversary Month 12 years to me. God is Good. Courage doesnt always roar.
