The month of November brings two new Wantman Family State of the World speakers to Northfield Mount Hermon. Members of Liberty in North Korea (LiNK), a non-profit organization that rescues North Korean refugees hiding in China and resettles them in South Korea or the United States, will visit campus on Monday, Nov. 10, addressing students in the Rhodes Room of Beveridge Hall at 5:30 pm. LiNK representatives will speak about the organization’s international efforts. Bonita Bigham and her son Te Rei will speak on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6:45 pm in the Rhodes Room of Beveridge Hall. As Maori living in Aotearoa, New Zealand, Bigham and her people settle historic grievances with the British Crown over breaches to the Treaty of Waitangi. Bonita and Te Rei are honored to renew and strengthen their connection with NMH after hosting students and faculty in Aotearoa in past years. Both events are free and open to the public.
