The month of October is cause to celebrate Socktober! At any given time across the United States, there are around 600 000 homeless people sleeping in the bitter winter cold. In Toronto, there are around 2000 homeless YOUTH sleeping in the freezing cold on any given night. Throughout this month, until October 31st, CYNs door will be open to all donations of warm clothing. Dont have much money? Thats okay! Socks are only $2.00 a pair at most convenience stores! Got a pair of wool socks laying around that are just a bit too small? Excellent! Come by the Labrador Friendship Center and drop off whatever warm things you have lying around. Got some extra wool left over? Knit a pair of socks or a toque!
