The more I have seen of the Greens, the more I realized I have been a Green all my life – I just didn’t know it yet. I saw that my values are Green values: social and environmental justice, democracy and integrity, internationalism and peace. Those are the words of MSP (Member of the Scottish Parliament) John Finnie, who earlier today (October 11, 2014) announced he was joining the Scottish Greens. Since the recent independence referendum, membership for the Scottish Greens has more than tripled and they are holding the largest convention in their history this weekend. Could this be you, too? Maybe its time you took a closer look; The Australian Greens have matured over the last 30 years into a party that looks a lot like what Labor once did, but without union officials choosing candidates.
