The more I ponder God, the more I try to intellectualize Him, the less I seem to understand. There are some things I know about God, such as: God cannot be contained, controlled, convinced or comprehended. He cannot be manipulated, maneuvered, mastered or mocked. He is never late, lost, lazy or laggard. He cannot be bought, bribed, beguiled or bargained with. He is never hateful, hurtful, harsh or hurried, nor is he forgetful or unforgiving. God is all things to all men. He is the source of all things good. By Him and in Him all things that breath and move and have their being. Without God nothing exists; not the sun or the moon. Not life or death. Not the stars or the planets. Not the galaxy, not even the universe. Not so much as one tiny atom exist outside of God. Because God is all things. God is love and life and light and warmth and truth and strength and certainty and hope and courage and victory. God is eternal and forever and His very word created all things. His face shines brighter than the sun and His eyes are a blaze life fire yet He choses to shrouds Himself in darkness. In His right arm is the strength of everlasting endurance and His voice sounds like the thunderous crash of might waters. No one can stand before Him or against Him, and He needs no help to defeat His enemies. One word from God can right a lifetime of wrongs, heal a lifetime of hurts and mend a lifetime of brokenness. One word from Him is all we need to ignite or harts and set fire to passion. One word from God makes it all worthwhile. One word from Him is all I desire. Getting to know God is an awesome journey, one that will take an eternity. Brad James.
