The more i look at this picture the more angry i get...... while all the bullet point info is accurate, the Costco concept and its business model are successful IN SPITE OF union employees!! Costco employees who are unionized make up less than 8% of its total workforce and are only still unionized because certain state laws required it when PriceClub and Costco merged. I have heard bad things about warehouses with union and nonunion workers; wont say which group is which, but one of them is percieved to be held less accountable because they have a level of employment protection that seems to minimize their desire to go that extra mile for the company than the other group will...... Costco was the best employer I have ever had; i look forward to their continued success WITHOUT any additional union presence!
