The more that comes out on this Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin story about bullying and hazing, it almost seems like Martin was the type of guy who could dish but could not take it. Jimmy Johnson, (ESPN Analyst) said the prank that was pulled on Martin, (everybody getting up and walking away from the table when he came and sat down for lunch) Martin himself pulled a week earlier on another teammate. Fact of the matter is, these guys are in the NFL, highest level you can go in this sport. Why are they even bringing this distraction to the locker room? I mean, I think of hazing, I think of fraternities, Animal House type things. Now I do understand that there are Rights of passage when you break into the NFL as a player. Dinners on you, carrying equipment, etc... Those are things I dont see as hazing, I see it as you paying your dues. But, when you start talking about a mans family, getting physical with the person, leaving racial messages on voicemails, talking about fing someones sister, that when you cross the line. As far as the pranks go, these are grown ass men, maybe pranks need to be left to Impractical Jokers. I honestly think Incognito buried his career with this crap going on. Its not like Miami is some awesome team this season, maybe if Incognito put as much effort into his team as he did screwing with Martin, maybe if the coaching staff made more of an effort to get their locker room under control, maybe they would be a bit better this season. And if, this is how we communicate, and everything was said with love (said by Incognito) then Miami has a lot of issues with that team. NFL on Fox did a great story on it this morning.
