The more times I watch Superman Returns, the more I come to think that it was one of the last times Hollywood really understood what makes super-heroes tick. So many wonderful things about this movie, and I have never understood the fanboy hate for it. The last person I talked to about it said it was lame because Superman barely does anything super in it. Maybe we saw a different movie, cuz the one I watched included this amazing rescue scene, along with a climax where Superman UPROOTS AND LIFTS AN ENTIRE F**KING CONTINENT AND THROWS IT INTO SPACE. Man Of Steel just cant compete with that.
