The most “actionable” ideas are those that are conceived with a true purpose in mind and body. Ideas without purpose are, in the end, irrelevant. In this sense, “purpose” reveals an idea’s goal direction even though the specifics of the goal may not yet be clear (or measurable) in the beginning. More importantly, an idea that’s “purposeful” exposes one’s commitment and will towards its realization. A word about passion. Don’t mistake passion for purpose. While you may be passionate about an idea, it does necessarily mean you are creating momentum on your way to achieving your idea goals (true purpose). Passion follows purpose.
