The most destructive aspect of capitalism and other fear and competition based socioeconomic frameworks probably is the way they flood our minds with millions of useless thoughts about survival, gaining advantage, irrelevant systemic jobs and problems, status and security. I have this feeling that the decision to take care of every person unconditionally will represent the most profound paradigm shift in the history of mankind. Not because we will get rid of most jobs and institutions, the ideology of growth, climate change, corruption, wars, prisons, etc. ... but because we create room for contemplation and silence in our minds. Less thoughts and more silence will slowly starve our egos. Our entire society will shift its focus from mere physical survival towards spiritual growth. Being will become more profitable than thinking within a cooperative environment. I guess most of us are tremendously underestimating the implications of that paradigm shift. My hope is that 2015 will get us a step closer towards making that decision?
