The most difficult thing for me being an aussie writer going through an international publisher is just being able to connect not only time wise but with spelling. Australia and America have such different spelling for simple words like mum and mom for instance. And flavor or flavour. It gets reallt confusing not only in writing a story but also just talking with an editor who can be so ingrained with their way of spelling they forget that were from another country. Ive gone through a few editors and unfortunately some of them get very angry over it.
