The most imperiled forest on earth is the last remaining remnants of pineland Rockland in Miami...The original 167,000 acres has been decimated down to 2,370 acres...With walmart looking to bulldoze 80 acres of that..so before you plant the same old GREEN DESERT podocarpus, clusia, palm, bamboo and tropical junk from home depot...do something environmentally responsible, provide habitat,plant some of South Floridas exquisite and elegant native plants and support the scores of birds and butterflies barreling towards extinction...hurry on down to 66th and Biscayne farmers market, because everything under the sun is vanishing fast.
