The most inspiring part of the bible to me is the book of Esther; the bravery of the young Jewish girl Hadassah -Esthers Jewish name- Esther was elevated to an exalted and sophisticated position, the shoes of vashti-the formal queen- Esther was the young virgin from a highly controversial jews, the jews were minority and their citizenship was questioned by the nobles and protocoles of Persia at that time. The jews lived in fear; and this young woman Esther was a Jew, in the palace of the mighty ruler of the world at that time . She has never imagined being in such a exalted position, making her tip-toe as if she was walking in a glass house that may fall and shatter to pieces any time. Then the jews were threatened, the plot was made kill all the jews . Her Uncle modecai was worried for his life and that of his people; he sent her a most touching letter , Do not flatter yourself that you shall escape in the kings palace any more than all the other Jews. 14For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise for the Jews from elsewhere, but you and your fathers house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion?-Esther 4^13&14 AMP- And the young Esther call together her servants and prayed and fasted ; she sent a message to her uncle Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast for me; and neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. I also and my maids will fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law; and if I perish, I perish. And the young queen; great but not so great: the young timid queen of pasia broke protocol, broke the law -oh how brave- a young Jewish girl walking in the midst of the powers of this world, not caring what may befall her, not scared of death , she was not sure wether the king will pardon her or give her judgment: but she moved on, on and on she dared her way towards the Majesty. I cannot start imagining how she felt reaching the kings feet, I think she will be too petrified; making her ask for a banquet instead of accusing her enermy straightaway... but nevertheless, the story of Esther inspires me alot , and it tells of the feminine bravery and beauty, the defiance of vashti to the king and kingdom was a act of bravery on its own right. And I think no portion of the bible inspires me more than the book of Esther which throws light on the theme of : Love, Bravery, Faith in religion and the Feminine Might! It inspires me to write a piece of poetry not so professionally written but just a thought of mine.... Doggedly she jet Attire of glittering aspect The feminine might! She lioned her way to the mighty Oh pasia Brave and sure She was Ready to fall the walls of Apollo In the gathering of Hades Zeus feasted and smiled But the hand of the king Being both hades and Zeus Like the snow ball So was her bravery Determined Like the mighty river Falling from a rock Higher than heaven She got life She got her petition She got her spouses power She got love She got a banquet Zeus black-out hades!
