The most recognizable symbol of Kuala Lumpur is probably the Petronas Twin Towers. It is the worlds 5th tallest structure, the worlds tallest twin structure and the worlds highest double decked bridge. Most enter from the KLCC train station, and from the inside, at the bottom, it looks like your average high-scale shopping center. But when you exit, the towering skyscraper quickly captures your respect. One of the prime photo spots is to the northwest,a cross a nice garden - simply exit through the mall past the business entrances. The primary exit is probably the one to the south (at the center of the mall) and it exits onto a very nice park and lake - The KL City Centre Park and the Simfoni Lake. (If you walk around the lake (south) you soon come to the aquarium.) If I were you, I would try and go later in the day. Early enough to see it in the daylight, but late enough to also see it lit up! Plus, the Lake is filled with fountains. There are daily shows at noon and at night. And the ones at night light up! Having seen it in the day and night, I can say the night one is the better experience. Though both are lovely. As an added plus, if you walk around the lake you can get a few pictures of the tower and light/water show.
