The mother of my two sons, almost died after giving birth to our first. After I cut the umbilical cord, Eric was taken by the nurse to be cleaned. They were about to hand him to me, when I heard Yvette cry out God, please dont let me die! followed by the delivering physicians panicked call for help from another doctor. I turned to see that the physician had accidentally lacerated an artery, and blood was pulsing in a stream, to confirm it. I went to her side, instead. Thank You, Lord, for answering her prayer, and continuing to bless the world with her presence, and bringing our next son, Brian, into the world, who, when asked why he keeps smiling through even the most rigorous of the physical training, at the Fire Fighter Academy, replied that his purpose in life is to bring as much love, sunshine, and happiness to as many human beings as possible, so being strong for those who need it, and being a firefighter, is worth the effort, and part of that goal.
