The motivation for Nigerian politicians in joining politics is not - TopicsExpress

The motivation for Nigerian politicians in joining politics is not driven my the passion to change society or anything but to change their bank accounts, businesses and to be respected by the people they loot from who they are supposed to impact on. When a mans or womans sole ideology is driven my personal greed he or she has nothing to do in government. He or she shouldnt be near government. Unfortunately thats the mentality of the Nigerian politician. People who have no businesses suddenly become multi-millionaires and billionaires overnight. They rush to London and Dubai or the United States to buy properties they wouldnt use and probably dont need, take all these monies out of the economy, some even die leaving billions in private accounts in foreign land that not even their families are aware of. Thats about all that it is about the Nigerian politician. Then they get funny characters and put them all around to mismanage the resources of the nation. The whole country is infested and infected by this type of reasoning. Thats why we have very dull and uncreative people managing government in Nigeria. People who should ask questions and fight this systemic disease, the intellectuals, have also been corrupted into this type of reasoning. Just grab what comes your way and forget the rest. So this system keeps thriving. NIGERIA is a jungle. Until our reasoning changes, our mentality changes, nothing will change. -George Onmonya Daniel
