The movie Lake Mungo is sooooo sloooooooow.... Shot like a documentary, this perplexing ghost story leaves you feeling like youve wasted your time. The cinematography is nice, and the initial buildup is great, and to be honest there was one part in the movie where I was actually creeped out and startled a little, but this part happens basically at the end of the movie. I felt like this could have been a much more powerful and entertaining flick if it was a short film. They shoved too much filler into the story, and it took away from the overall atmosphere. But, to be fair, this was a ghost story with a psychic and I really dont enjoy those kinds of stories unless the plot is engaging or at least hilarious, and this one falls just short of both. If you are an avid believer in ghosts, or if your 5 years old, I can see this being a very spooky movie, but otherwise I cant recommend this movie. 5/10 Ive seen a LOT worse, but this is just alright.
