The movie that really brought Philip Seymour Hoffman into focus for us....we saw it as last minute add-ons to a fundraiser for his mothers judicial campaign, here at The Little Theater in Rochester. The exuberance in his conversation, about acting,....the can do attitude to doing theater in an early, bootstraps, unpolished form....the affection he displayed for his mother and friends. I wish it couldhave ended differently for all and there had been tine for the library of films with great performances by him to grow much, much, much larger. Big thanks to the friend who called us with the tickets that long ago afternoon.
