The murderers of Almog Shiloni & Dalia Lemkus by Palestinian terrorists are despicable acts against Israelis & against Palestinian interests. It doesnt matter if it was done by Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Fatah or unaffiliated. These acts of murder will not help the Palestinians to end occupation. Violence is on the rise and could easily get out of control. There is no interest in re-sinking into this senseless killing. No one will win and too many people will lose. Israelis and Palestinians must join forces to call for non-violence. No one should condone or excuse this killing. This is the same for the criminal killing of people - suspects or terrorists by Israeli security forces and police. When it is possible to restrain and to apprehend and it is no longer a life threatening situation, as we have witnessed recently, police should not shoot to kill. Leaders on both sides need to put out the fires, not ignite them. Voices of reason must call on people on both sides not to support this violence. I repeat what I have written many times before: I have no interest in seeing my neighbors suffer - quite the opposite - I want happy, prosperous and peaceful neighbors. Israel actually has a lot of power to help to make our neighbors happy, prosperous and peaceful. It begins with agreeing to negotiate the end of the occupation. As long as the occupation continues, and with it settlement building, we will see the increase in violence. There is no happy end as long as the occupation continues. Lets face it fellow Israelis, we would not agree to be occupied by anyone and we too would fight for our freedom. Lets end our occupation before we have to bury more of our children.
