The murders in Sydney Australia and Peshawar Pakistan are a great tragedy. Its not just a human tragedy where there is a grave loss of precious lives. Its also a religious tragedy that some people would use the beautiful religion of #Islam to justify such a heinous crime. I think its incumbent on each Imam, Sheikh, and Mufti to educate his congregation on the danger of religious indoctrination. Be a student, not a follower, certainly not a blind follower. Use your brain, not someone elses brain. Stay away from ALL groups. Ignore all slogans. Dont take any commands from anyone. The true scholar would advise you not command you, would give you an opinion not an absolute verdict, and would educate you not indoctrinate you. I believe were very close to (if not already in) the time where the Prophet AS said, Stay away from all groups, even if you have to bite on a stem of a tree. Anas Hlayhel Page
