The name of allah is highest ====================== It was narrated that Jabir said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: There is nothing between a person and disbelief except abandoning Salah. ============================ It was narrated from Abdullah bin Buraidah that his father said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The covenant that stands between us and them is the Salah; whoever abandons it, he has committed disbelief. ============================= Narrated Ibn Umar: Allahs Messenger (ﷺ) said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles): 1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allahs Messenger (ﷺ). 2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly. 3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity) . 4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca) 5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan. ================================= Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, Try to go straight, although you will not be able to do so. Act, and the best of your actions is the prayer. And only a mumin is constant in his wudu. ============================== Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from his father that Umar ibn al-Khattab used to pray as much as Allah willed in the night until at the end of the night he would wake his family for the prayer. He used to say to them, The prayer, the prayer. Then he would recite the ayat, Enjoin prayer on your family and be constant in it. We do not ask you for your provision. We provide for you. And the end result is for taqwa. (Sura 20 ayat 132) ====================================== Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib: The last words which the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) spoke were: Prayer, prayer; fear Allah about those whom your right hands possess. ==================================== Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Once the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delayed the night prayer (Isha) till midnight. He (ﷺ) turned to us after Salat (prayer) and said, The people slept after performing their Salat, but you who waited, will be accounted as engaged in Salat throughout the period of your waiting. [Al-Bukhari]. =========================== It was narrated from Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When the time of menstruation comes, stop praying, and when it goes, perform Ghusl. ================================ It has been reported that Abdullah bin Zubair (May Allah be pleased with them) used to recite after Taslim at the conclusion of every Salat (prayer): La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul- mulku, wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa ala kulli shaiin Qadir. La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah. La ilaha illallahu, wa la nabudu illa iyyahu, Lahun-nimatu, wa lahul-fadlu, wa lahuth-thanaul-hasan. La ilaha ilallahu, mukhlisina, lahud-dina, wa lau karihal-kafirun (there is no true god except Allah; He is One. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him is all praise, and He is Powerful over all things. There is no power and might except with (the help of) Allah. There is no God but Allah and we worship none except Him, to Him belongs the bounty and to Him belongs the grace, and to Him belongs all excellent praise; there is no deity but Allah. We reserve our devotion exclusively for Him though the disbelievers may detest it). Ibn Az-Zubair said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to celebrate Allahs Greatness in those terms after every Salat (prayer).
