The nation of Azerbaijan has provided significant support to NATOs mission in Afghanistan over the past 12 years. Currently, 94 Azerbaijani service members are serving with the International Security Assistance Force. Azerbaijan actively participates in all relevant international political processes aimed at promoting peace and stability. Azerbaijan’s contributions to operations have consisted of political, military, and logistical support; air and land transit; training and partnership missions; humanitarian mine-disposal actions and financial aid to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
