The new Bay Bridge has to be one of the biggest scams ever pulled on the SF Bay Area & California taxpayers. What begun as a 1.4 billion dollar estimate ended with a final 6.4 billion dollar bill. Now, this poorly built massive piece of garbage is FALLING APART. 205 of 274 cable rods have slipped just in the last year and need repairs - the bridge is now considered extremely dangerous if an earthquake were to hit - even though we were TOLD that the entire reason we needed a new bridge was incase of an earthquake. Just to top if off - this was done during a huge economic downturn in the USA... so where did our TAX MONEY go to give an economic boost? CHINA. This is ALL CHINESE METAL that is already falling apart, that we had shipped here instead of buying from our own countries steel manufactures and giving jobs to Americans, using American taxpayer money. This is a shining example of how doomed this country is. Barely anyone is paying attention, and none of the decision makers behind this will face any consequences. Sickening really.
