The new Judas Priest album seems to be the topic of the month right now, like the Blues Pills debut is for the classic rock fans. Right before I went on tour with Manilla Road for a whole month I was able to upload the complete album to my cellphone so I could hear it in the planes or vans. Finally I got the finished product today to check the final (not mp3) sound. The good thing: I didn´t expect anything from the CD so I was more surprised about several songs on it. A whole bunch of tracks were obviously made to please all the fans while others, especially some more balladesque songs, are more unexpected. I don´t want to go into deteails now but I like REDEEMER OF SOULS more than anything after PAINKILLER and less than anything before SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE. It is for the most parts a good Judas Priest album that might grow over the years. To me it is better than expected.
