The new kindergarten programme will be open to parents of children - TopicsExpress

The new kindergarten programme will be open to parents of children aged four to six, and they can opt for the morning (8am-12pm) or afternoon (1-5pm) sessions. It is targeted at families who may have other care arrangements for their child in the other half of the day. The programme will be offered at two existing pre-schools - at Blk 744 Woodlands Circle and Blk 295C Compassvale Crescent - which will have new extension blocks to cater to the pupils. A total of 200 places will be available. Fees will cost $171.20 a month, before subsidies. The programme also uses the same curriculum as that offered for children in the same age group in the full-day childcare programmes. My First Skool general manager Adeline Tan said: The introduction of this kindergarten programme is an attempt... to make available a wider range of pre-school education options within the same pre-school compound, providing convenience and options to parents with different needs.
