The new m3rc website is almost here and weve got some fun and exciting new features which are going to be great at connecting members and keeping them informed. Who knows maybe it will even encourage the over 550 of you FB followers sitting on the sidelines who dont seem to recognize the personal benefits (not to mention the community wide projects it funds) that the $20 membership fee provides. Anyway I have started passing out these cards and want to explain what and how we are planning to use them to benefit the midmichigan community and beyond. The weekend has not been determined but once the website has launched we want to move forward with a large scale membership drive which will fully fund M3RC and the new M3Kids programs for the 2015 year. In an attempt to get others in the community to take note of us and who we are/what kind of people we are, we are planning a large scale pay it forward weekend. Specifically, throughout an upcoming TBD weekend, M3RC members will be challenged to each pay it forward at least once during the weekend. This might be mowing the lawn for an elderly neighbor, buying a stranger coffee, dropping off bagels at a local business you frequent, or just about anything your selfless minds can come up with. Aside from going out of your way to do something for someone else, we just ask that you hand them this card and smile when you are done. Our anticipated response, aside from extreme gratitude is that some will check out our site, choose to get involved and wham---we just fulfilled our mission which remains to foster and encourage healthy, active lifestyles within our communities. I am sincerely looking forward to this campaign and expect that well have a ton of great stories to tell. I particularly cant wait to hear about how many of us receive cards BACK from others passing on the good will. So theres the mystery of the cards. Ill plan to leave some at MBC so you can just ask behind the bar if you need to get one.
