The new voice of democratic born again Gov. Rotimi Amaechi and his sympathetic realization for true democracy. Nigerians must be mindful of those who had over the years benefitted from undemocratic acts, who propagated and propelled anti-peoples imposition to elect their leaders. Gov. Rotimi Amaechi can’t be the one to preach for transparent election in 2015 when he is emebedded as a product of undemocratic PDP and dictatorship in the emergence of current RSHA and all the years of Odili’s era. When has my brother Gov. Rotimi Amaechi become a democratic sainthood to advocate and preach to Nigerians to demand a transparent elections? When his leadership action and imposition over the years brought the current endemic political crops and fruits that produced non-performing representation and bad leadership that has brought Rivers state as endangered mediocrity contamination, impunity and cross political infection, instead of vitality in the name of loyalty and opponents whose both intents had crippled governance, policies and service delivery that would have better the lots of Rivers people since this dispensation. I ask, when has RCA of all political solid rock of Rivers State politics since 1999 had become a born again democrat or democratic believer? Or are you singing this new democratic chorus to attract sympathy from my likes? Or is it now that you realized that Nigerians need democratic justice and liberation from their leaders and representatives to move forward as a nation? Gov. Amaechi, as much I do enjoin your political courage and bravery you have shown and exbited over the years in your political career, I distaste when you erred to interfer not to allow things done right especially some undemocratic actions you carried out to impose your wishes to select current representatives all over the state. I hope your new democratic baptismal and emmersion will yield a new political re-birth and approach that will usher truly elected democratic and popular representatives and candidates in 2015 and not only to attract political sympathy in the on-going war within your undemocratic PDP and your opponents. I therefore appeal to use the remain period of your less than two years to ensure that internal democracy determines those who will emerge and fly the flagship of elective represenation and leadership in 2015 wherever and whichever party you find your voice than shouting for democracy in the day light and to hide at night when its dawn for its practice. I have honestly adviced you that, dictators and anti-democrats does not see any wrong in their actions until they are caught up in the same action against them or their interest. History has it that, true democracy and its adherence remains the only solution that bring leaders and the led closer to balance of power, where the elected leaders and representatives enforces the representative obligations to the decorum and wishes of their people and constituents and not charlatans attitude and caprices of hierarchial dictatorship. Your Excellency Sir, now that you have realized and joined us in advocating for true democratic practice that gives people voice and choice on who to represent them, I therefore appeal to you to begin your new political approach to sack your non-performing and reluctant Commissioners who hadly know the functions of their ministry and some of your allies who had become political liabilities to Rivers State Project. And finally, we are appealing to re-shuffle your cabinet to infuse new team that has the potential to deliver in the remaining lapse of your tenure. Your Excellency, the time is now. We are waiting eagerly and watching for you to act. God bless your remaining time in office and to help you give Rivers people a voice through internal democracy and not imposition in 2015.
