The newest member of the K-9 force for the Glendale, Ariz., police department was killed on the evening of June 20 during a shootout with a man who was accused of threatening residents in a local neighborhood with his gun. Ronin was a 23-month-old, Holland-born Belgian Malinois that had only been with the department for three months.
