The newly-appointed Ambassador of Algeria handed over copies of his credentials to the Foreign Minister of Armenia On December 11 the newly appointed Ambassador of Algeria to Armenia Smail Allaoua (residence in Moscow) handed over copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian. Welcoming the newly appointed Ambassador and wishing him success in his mission, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that Ambassador Allaoua would contribute to the strengthening and further development of friendly bilateral relations. Offering gratitude for the reception and wishes, the Ambassador of Algeria mentioned that Algeria highly appreciates the traditional friendly relations with the Armenian people and is interested in their further enhancement. The sides discussed a range of issues on the development of bilateral relations, cooperation within different international platforms, formation of the legal framework, expansion of trade and economic cooperation. International and regional issues, particularly the situation in the Middle East and possible developments, were touched upon.
