The news about the suicide of Robin Williams makes me look at the church - are we doing our job in offering people a part in something eternal, or are we chasing after the things of this world? All I can think about is the reality that all the money, fame, prestige, acclaim, and popularity he had didnt solve the internal sorrow and sadness he had. What the world gave, the world took back. I look at the church and see too many ministers chasing the same things - money, fame, prestige, acclaim, and popularity...when are we going to figure out that those things dont solve the problems we have? When are we going to look at people in compassion, instead of with judgment, because weve been there (or maybe still there), too? What an impact we could make if instead of chasing after the world, we offered people Christ. #powerfortoday
