The next HRAS night will be on Friday January 23rd. It will be our one year anniversary! In light of the fact that the majority of people who show up are actually from Lionsend, going forward we are calling it the Hawkes Reache & Lionsend A&S night. As my realtor keeps telling me... Location location location!!! :D. At our last sugar encrusted gathering the only other person from the Barony in attendance besides Harry and me was our neighbor Crystal. ;). Linda will be teaching Ottoman embroidery. Materials from Linda: What you will need is a piece of medium weight even weave material (it doesn’t have to be linen and polyesther cloth is fine) an embroidery hoop (I will bring some extras) a needle, embroidery floss in a contrasting color, and scissors. If you want some paper and pencil. I will bring some of my books including a new one called ‘Beginning Ottoman Embroidery’ it covers a later period than ours but it has good pictures of the stitches. The main difference between to two periods is color choice. That’s about all I can think of if I think of anything later I will send another note out.
