The next Outreach Initiative Registration is open for October 19th at Faith Marietta! Please do sign up and come if you are able! The first training session on September 14th was amazing! Here are the details for training session number two: Session Two: The Power of Some—Sharing Christ as a Congregation Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. While an individual Christian witness is powerful, so too is the combined effect of a group of Christians sharing the Gospel. This training session will help participants find ways to best utilize their witnessing efforts as a congregation. A warm and welcoming environment is essential when attracting visitors. Attendees will assess what makes a church a friendly and inviting place by viewing it through the eyes of a guest. Looking beyond the church itself, participants will be encouraged-and challenged-to take his or her Gospel witness into the community. Doing this brings the congregation into the world, socially influencing it and, hopefully, bringing others-through its Gospel witness-into the fold.
