The next State Board of Education (SBE) Meeting is July 9-10 in Sacramento. Keep an eye out for the agenda. There are typically no parents there to speak unless its there is major hype around an issue. For special education topics, this rarely is the case. We need more parents there to speak on behalf of students with special needs. They need to hear our voice. Attend in person or send written comment whenever possible. Special education laws were not created from the inside out because they were the right thing to do. It took people and parents to stand up and make them! So lets keep making things better!
