The next Upper Merion Township Board of Supervisors workshop meeting is tomorrow (Wednesday) at a special early start time of 6 p.m. Discussions include the following topics: • Potential of passing a resolution requesting SEPTA eliminate the Rt. 202 option for the expansion Norristown High Speed Line (aka Rt. 100) extension; • The townships open space plan; • Use of dirt bikes in Upper Merion (will not discuss before 6:30 p.m.); • Lafayette Ambulances plans to build new ambulance and rescue squad building; • LED sign presentation by the Media Board (will not discuss before 7:15 p.m.); • Residential Garage at 433 E. Church Road; • Review plan to demolish a large portion of Valley Forge Shopping Center at 250 DeKalb Pike and reconstruction to result in 14,160 square foot pet store retailer; and • Proposal to create transportation oriented development district at Renaissance Blvd which would result in ONeill building the first senior housing in Upper Merion - a continuing care retirement community (will not discuss before 8:30 p.m.). As always the meeting is open to the public.
