The next food to not pass my ingredient test is Eukanuba. Chicken - TopicsExpress

The next food to not pass my ingredient test is Eukanuba. Chicken is the first ingredient in Eukanuba puppy, followed by Corn Meal, Ground Whole Grain Sorghum and then Chicken By-Product Meal. You will notice that the ingredient list is similar to IAMS. That is because IAMS and EUKANUBA are made and distributed by the same company. Just like Purina has many different brands of puppy and dog food. So do IAMS AND EUKANUBA. Eukanuba does have the disclosure that not all By-Product Meals are the same and they are correct. Eukanuba does not use the beaks or feet in their Chicken By-Product Meal. So in a sense it is healthier for your pup or dog to eat. The dreaded CORN is still the second and third ingredient. Do you still want to feed that to your dog? Remember, Dogs do not digest corn well. You still have the smell factor to deal with too. The stool is black and has an awful smell. It smells because of the chemicals used to process the food! Eukanuba tends to be one of the most expensive foods and can only be purchased at specialty pet stores. Why pay all that money for something that is not really any better.
