What has happened the past few months after H2W has taught me a real lot... Shortly after H2W what i note down on 555 books shows that I will always stray when it comes to children and family members...means i tend to justify that spending for the children and family is a necessity - when at times , it really is not. The first 6 weeks, Alhamdulillah a combination of coins, savings from pay and also the envelope money, I managed to save $500. I also realised that whatever money that i put aside monthly before h2w program, it was spent to reuse back into seminars/courses for me..and i came to realise after looking at the money compass that even for that I have been managing the money % wrongly. Shortly after the $500 savings, we were faced with 3 deaths within our big family in the same week and we ended using the savings for funeral arrangements. I am starting the savings going again and I am looking into all the tips and challenge that AA sent via email. -I have set aside a specific savings account - I have stopped bringing kids to get groceries -i have started thinking of ways to ask for a pay raise from my employers -i have continuously written on my 555 book and relooking at them (i keep receipts of my purchases) One thing for sure, ever since i started trying to be responsible towards money, challenges come hard and fast, be it with kids, work and even the better half but I am leaving this with Allah and will try to improve and persevere anyway because I am determined to get out of where we are right now... I have put all other things on hold first so i can focus on getting the basics right, In Shaa Allah- and that is managing what we currently have. I thank Allah for the paths i crossed that eventually led me to many MasyaAllah teachers/coaches who shared their ilmu with all their heart. I am grateful to be faced with whatever I had and am having now. I have faith that it only means Allah is preparing me for something bigger. Was reading this and i want to share..
