The next of kin. When an accident with fatalities occur, law enforcement agencies do no release the name or names of victims until they are certain that the immediate family has been notified. My personal experiences has taught me that this is a good policy. A policy that every Facebook user should strongly consider. You dont have to be the first to post a tragedy. Make sure that the entire immediate family is informed, before you inform your Facebook family. The hurt is more severe and shocking when you learn of the death of a family member by seeing it on Facebook. There may be family members over seas, incarcerated, in the hospital, on vacation, etc. let the immediate family post the news. They are the next of kin.
