The next storm system brings rain into Kentucky by afternoon - TopicsExpress

The next storm system brings rain into Kentucky by afternoon Sunday and becomes more widespread overnight. The low Sunday night is expected to be 33º...very close to freezing. The freezing rain is still. expected to be mostly north of the Ohio River but due to the close to freezing temperature, it needs to be watched. While the storm isnt likely to bring an exceptionally heavy dose of freezing rain anywhere in Kentucky, just enough can fall on or adhere to roads and sidewalks to create slippery conditions. A chance for snow will move in Wednesday evening...more on that later. The cold this week has been brutal over much of the eastern two-thirds of the nation. The pattern expected next week will have less extreme cold. Temperatures will moderate to the 30s and even 40s for most days next week. Looking way out...it looks like the core of the Arctic cold will retreat during the next to the last week of January allowing temperatures to modify. But, sudden stratospheric warming in the Arctic may signal a turn back to cold weather late in the month and perhaps into early February. So winter isnt over by a long shot. A Thought; The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our sorrows, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers. Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence. A Native American wisdom says...One beast and only one howls in the woods by night. He who fears the wolf, should not go to the forest. May you know the meaning and rest well my friends.
