The next twist to watch for in the Obamacare fight for liberty, - TopicsExpress

The next twist to watch for in the Obamacare fight for liberty, with H/T to a good friend for first raising the issue with me - Have you noticed how many/most of the new Obamacare insurance policies have high deductibles, on top of having much higher premiums? The high deductibles are going to be a huge problem for doctors and hospitals in the following way, especially given that larger insurance premium payments are going to leave even less available cash in Americans wallets and purses: People will use their insurance to access care that goes beyond a simple office visit, and then receive a huge bill before the insurance kicks in. Many will not be able to pay the bill and that will put the providers on the hook to try to collect their fees. The providers will end up being depicted as the bad guys for hassling the patients. How could that then unfold? Providers are forced not to balance bill - i.e., to accept whatever insurance is willing to pay as payment in full. Or nearly so. This is exactly what has happened with Medicare & Medicaid. So it is no wonder the top hospitals are beginning to opt out of Obamacare - they can see a collection nightmare coming. A long time ago, I ran a testing lab business that had such a balance bill challenge. Been there, done that. Give that the Obama White House is already blaming the insurance companies for being the source of the current government market problem they and their DC regulators solely created, I predict the following will happen - They are going to label the mess they created as market failures to justify more, not less, government intrusion into healthcare. Single payer, here we come. Which was their plan all along. And with that you can say goodbye to the greatest healthcare system in the world. Fundamentally transforming America, one step at a time.
