The nightmare we all dread came to pass on Saturday... A big dispute over the agreed fee (to the tune of a few hundred quid). Cash was paid at the start and we did a count to double check after the gig whereupon we found it was short. It was nearly 1AM at this point so we were quite keen to go home. All the guests were properly sauced which made chatting to the bride, who was the one who booked us, quite hard work so we agreed to speak on the phone at a later date. Ive got an email from her enthusiastically confirming the agreed fee and all that jazz. Of course she insists that her (lower) numbers are the actual agreed fee so I guess this is the point were going to have to agree on. Anyone had to deal with this before? Any tips before I make the phone-call of doom? (The band contained an MU member so we may use their resources to seek advice as well)
