The ninety-nine Matthew 18:12 “How think ye? if a man - TopicsExpress

The ninety-nine Matthew 18:12 “How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?” To express how important it is to care, Jesus used this parable. A shepherd is not worried about the ninety-nine is his care; he is concerned about the one who has strayed and is in danger. This tells me that there are certain situations that need to be addressed concerning my relationship with people. First, try to care about everybody without being a respecter of persons. It is very important not to have favorites. All God’s children are important and should be treated as such. I try to teach our church not to have clicks and to care about everybody. Secondly, manifest yourself most to hurting people. This does not mean you care about one more than another; it simply means you are going where the need is. A doctor can care about all of his patients, but he should give his time to those who are sick. When you hear that someone has passed away, call the family, see if there is any way you can help, and attend the funeral if possible. If you hear someone is very ill, call and offer aid. If some is hurting for whatever reason offer some type comfort or strength. It is time for all believers to rejoice with those that rejoice and morn with those that morn. When you lose yourself for the cause of others you find out what life and true happiness are. Pastor Wilson (9-3-2013)
