The no make-up selfies seem to be causing a lot of strong feelings so heres my opinion: Beyond the fact that theyve raised £2m for Cancer Research UK, I think its a really great thing for a viral campaign. There is a tremendous pressure on women to maintain an impossible image of beauty and while some people are more comfortable and confident in their appearance, others do not have that luxury. In a society where we all are bombarded with made-up, styled, photoshopped images of women, it does us no harm for our facebook feeds to suddenly be flooded with images of what all our female friends actually look like in reality.
