The ‘no win, no fee’ festival of the theatre world! After the success of the inaugural Play-4-Free Festival in 2014, The Kings Arms are delighted to announce that from the 5th – 31th January 2015, we will be opening our doors to its intimate studio to all Greater Manchester theatre companies. What’s more, after the runaway success of last year, we are now offering the main theatre space. Our Play-4-Free festival gives local artists the opportunity to showcase a piece of work, of no more than an hour in length, for absolutely FREE. Box office takings will be donation-based, allowing audience members to pay as much as they think the experience was worth. We’ll split the takings with you 50/50, so if the audience don’t pay, neither do you! The show doesn’t need to be polished; this is a chance to try something out. Get it wrong or get it right – it doesn’t matter. This is a testing ground. Don’t miss this opportunity to make the most of our newly opened 25-seat studio or the main theatre and get your work out into the public domain without breaking the post-Christmas bank.
