The non indictment out of the Ferguson Grand Jury is a complex and telling tale of America. The good news is that the system worked; not because the officer got off, but because the jury had the courage and freedom to not cave to the mob hysteria…the better news was despite being disappointed and heartsick, most who did not like the decision behaved peacefully in dignified dissent. While the media opted to focus on the criminals, opportunists, rioting thieves, the large majority did not descend into violence. Bless them and may this be a time for healing and making more progress in living together with respect for all. We all can and must do better in healing our wounds. God be with the Brown family; no matter how you feel about their son…he was a victim or a victimizer, they have lost a child and there are no words for their grief. The ugly, sadly for our nation, was our President going on the airwaves calling for peace and restraint. Yes, he finally did the right thing; it was for a change presidential and appeared to be a grand gesture. But in the light of the fact that his and his comrades finger prints were all over the community organizing, funding, and orchestration of the violence and mayhem since this case started, it was beyond sinister. As late as last week, he was urging the agitators to stay the course and aiding and abetting Al Sharptons mobs across the land. He is an amazing disciple of Saul Alinskys and he knows that he will be lauded big time today for what he said last night while his role in amping up the racial divide will be ignored. I so wish he was a better man.
