The number 14 was given to me by Krista Cole (she originally wanted it to be 86, but we negotiated a compromise)...so heres a list of 14 little known facts about me: 1) given name is David - which I only hear these days when Im trouble with my (beautiful) wife 2) Played Flute/Thisby in our 6th grade production of Midsummer Nights dream. 3) 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon Me to milo ventimiglia (1986 theater production of Winters Tail) Milo to to Gary Oldman (Criminal Empire for Dummies) Gary to Kevin Bacon (Criminal Law) 4) Once won 7 events at one (youth) track meet. 5) The first time I screwed up my courage and introduced myself to my (now) wife, her response was a quick and simple so?. 6) Never proposed to my wife - nor did she to me, and yet here we are. 7) Our second child was conceived on September 25, 2008 - which happens to be the birthday of our oldest. (THAT will freak him out in a couple of years once he understands what that really means!) 8) Spent time in Lake Placid NY at the Olympic Training center trying to make the National Luge Team. 9) Once went to 3 different elementary schools in 2 years - without our family moving. 10) I once held my breath for over 5 minutes, on purpose. (I was highly motivated after watching Le Grand Bleu - look it up if you dont know this one) 11) Could (at one time) call out the value for Pi to 200 decimal places. (I dont recall if I did this to impress a girl. If I did, I was sorely mistaken) 12) Drove from Orange, Ca to Stockton (376 miles) in 5 hours and 4 minutes in a 1972 orange Pinto. 13) My two boys were born in the same hospital I was, 39 and 45 years later 14) With apologies to Lou Gehrig - I am the luckiest man on the face of the Earth - thank you to my family and friends past/present/future.
