The number of violent crimes in Lake Oswego declined by more than 37 percent from 2012 to 2013, according to figures released Monday by the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program. Property crimes in the city declined by 5.7 percent over the same period, the FBI said. The numbers: VIOLENT CRIME: Down from 35 offenses to 22 (-37.1%) Rape remained the same, with 6 reported in each year Robbery down from 10 to 5 (-50%) Aggravated assault down from 19 to 11 (-42.1%) No murders either year. PROPERTY CRIME: Down from 652 to 615 (-5.7%) Burglary down from 145 to 111 (-23.4%) Larceny/theft up from 478 to 480 (+0.4%) Motor vehicle theft down from 29 to 24 (-17.2%) The number of arson reports was up by one, from 12 to 13 (+8.3%)
