The nurse just came back in and put Sheila back on the IV dextrose drip. She said the kidney specialist had her take it off but did not dc the order. The kidney Dr said she wants the hospitalist Dr to take the IV off?!? Better safe than sorry! So we will see what morning holds! Sheila has had some swelling in her face, legs and feet; but, this is to be expected for someone whose kidney function had dropped to under 20%. Please, still keep her in your prayers as we have not crossed the threshold yet!
